Join us for a luscious summer eve of dancehall music, good vibes and dance floor mayhem upon Port Phillip Bay. Saturday 3rd Feb sees the inaugural DANCEHALL BOAT CRUISE brought to you by I Love Dancehall and DJ Selektah set sail.
The boat has multiple areas to chill out, out door decking and seating over 2 levels, 2 dance floor areas, and multiple bar areas.
Come and relax in the summer night air, party to the best music in the world, while the night lights of Melbourne sparkle across the bay.
We will be running two dance floors, one featuring old school dancehall – strictly vinyl – 80’s, 90’s and 00’s brought to you by SYSTEM UNKNOWN, and the second room will be up to di time dancehall with 3 of Melbournes finest – reggae dancehall Don JESSE I, I love Dancehall Boss Lady – SO FIRE, and Zim star DJ SELEKTAH.
Melbourne favourite party starters BURN CITY QUEENZ will be showcasing old school and new school dance.. Mcs KING RU, PRECISE RIFF and HLATS will keeping the vibes up.
BOSS MAN FOOD will be in the places, with mouth watering Carribean cuisine, to get you in a Jamaican state of mind.

SYSTEM UNKNOWN are a collective of Selectors and musicians who shared a love for Jamaican music and sound system culture. They built their own unique sound system with a crisp intelligible analog sound perfect for the playback of vinyl records – known as the one and only System Unknown Sound. They hold down a monthly session called hard pressure dub.
OPERATOR ANDY -Founder of Cool Operator Records and co-founder of System Unknown Sound, Operator Andy brings out the best in 80’s & 90’s dancehall, rub-a-dub, and obscure digital cuts from way back when. You can expect the best in old school pressure, one away tunes and dubplates.

MAJOR DELAY has been creating music with Synthesizers, drum machines and samplers since the late 90s. He cut his teeth on the European underground free party scene, and has been collaborating with local musicians and recording solo since returning to Australia. He has recorded 4 studio albums to date and has built his own custom built reggae sound system – AKA -System Unknown Sound.
REBEL BASS -Hailing from the deep south of New Zealand Rebel Bass has been mashing up dances since 2002 playing the toughest Reggae, Dancehall and custom Dubplates and hyping up the dance in New Zealand, Australia and South Korea. Supporting big Kiwi crews such as Katchafire, Kora and King Kapisi and even international legend Junior Reid. Rebel Bass specialises in 90s Bashment, juggling 45s and nicing up the dance!
Up to Di Time – DANCEHALL
DJ SELEKTAH – One half of Stallion Soundz, Selektah has been a regular on the reagge/dancehall circuit over the last few years the last year. Hailing from Zim, Selektah plays a solid mix of up to di time hardcode dancehall, afrobeats and local artists.
JESSE I – One half of Melbourne’s original reggae dancehall crew Chant Down Sound, Jesse I has been promoting Reggae and dancehall music to Melbournians since the late 90’s via his radio show chant down Babylon, and legendary night More Fire.
One the most respected reggae personalities in Australia, Jesse I is known around the world as an authority on Jamaican music, and a purveyor of the finest roots, reggae and dancehall sounds.

SO FIRE – started out Djing on soundsystems in the UK and Europe. She has been running I love dancehall for 8 years, and more recently has worked on True Jamaican Dancehall tours, bringing Jamaican Dancehall dancers to Oz and the annual National Dancehall Queen competition. She loves all kinds of Jamaican music, afrobeats and global bass…but she is know for her hard hitting, dancefloor starting dancehall selections.

PRECISE RIFF -Zim Swagga Don Precice Riff had been a constant on the Melbourne dancehall scene. He was one of the regular DeeJays at Pressure Drop, and his distinctive vocal style is instantly recognisable. He is also busy working in the back ground supporting new artists and promoting afro and dancehall talent through community TV and other mediums.
BURN CITY QUEENZ -Melbournes original Dancehall dance crew will be bringing old and new school steps and will be featuring in both room. These ladies are pure dynamite live…representing real dancehall inna Melbourne style.
BOSS MAN FOODS, creators of the real jerk food truck, will be taking you on a trip to the Caribbean with their mouth watering meals. Featuring Jamaican street food with some influences from other surrounding Caribbean islands. Original, unique and tasty.
