Biography

Freedom Sound is an up and coming Sydney sound system with a mission to bring reggae music to the people. Selecta, Benjahman, and Robotico have the collections and selections to make you dance, from the classic sounds of ska to massive beats of dancehall and everything in between.

After promoting ska and reggae music for over 5 years Benjahman and Selecta joined forces with Robotico to establish Freedom Sounds and give Sydney what it really needs: a dedicated weekly reggae event. Running from November 2006 to May 2007 the night hosted both local and interstate acts and attracted large and enthusiastic crowds.

With Selecta leaving our shores to mash down London town, Robotico and Ben Freedom have carried the flame playing dances all over Sydney.

Some of the artists who Freedom Sound have had the privilege of playing alongside include Firehouse Sound, Dynamite!, King Tide, Rastawookie, Lotek, Chasm, Budspells, Rumpunch, Foreign Dub, CBD Dub Project, Basslines Crew, Kobra Kai and many more....
