CAPTIVATING AUDIENCES AROUND THE WORLD......

J Boog has become nothing less than an international sensation with his unique and eclectic mix of REGGAE, R&B and HIP HOP all fused with smooth "Polynesian Soul" and gritty "Street flicker"....

Finding his way into the hearts (and ears) of millions J Boog pours his soul into every lyric with a style that is nothing less than sweetly superb...!

With his heritage hailing from American Samoa, J Boog (Born Jerry Afemata) is a singer born in Long Beach and raised in Compton, Ca.

Growing up in a large family, J was always surrounded by people and music and was raised with a strong sense of island tradition and culture that he proudly carries with him always.

The first time J Boog sang publicly, was at the tender age of 9 years old. It was a large family reunion at a church and there were nearly 200 people. J's Mother and sister insisted he sing a Whitney Houston song and J obliged them. Though he was nervous, it went quite well.
The song was One Moment In Time.....which was indeed J’s moment in time.

J Boog is renowned for his artistic creativity with an ability to write with such a wide range of versatility and deliver treasures that range from powerful rhythmic masterpiece’s right through to soft melodic creations.
J met his favorite artist, George “Fiji” Veikoso in 2005 and collaborated soon after.

In 2006, J moved to Hawaii to continue developing his craft and released his debut album
'Hear Me Roar' (2007).
In 2008 he signed to Wash House Music Inc, based in Hawaii and San Francisco where he soon after met Gramps Morgan of Morgan Heritage.
There was an instant vibe. Gramps was keen on working with J and soon after they worked in such prestigious places as Bob Marley's "Tuff Gong" Studio, Don Corleone's "Hit Maker", Bobby Digital's "Digital B", Shaggy's "Big Yard", Sugar Minott's "Youth Man Promotion" and more.

The results were outstanding, uniquely fusing authentic Island Music with genuine Jamaican Reggae. Truly a new and exciting combination, J's album featured reggae giants like Richie Spice, Tarrus Riley and Morgan Heritage.
There is a natural passion and theme to Boog's writing.....and that is LOVE.

J says he writes what he feels and knows. When you listen, you'll feel his interpretations on matters of the heart.

His latest album, "Back Yard Boogie" features J's international smash hit "Let's Do It Again" produced by the legendary Don Corleone.

These days you can find Boog in a studio, on stage or catching a flight to a show. Radio interviews have become a daily thing and although a little overwhelming J has been smart enough to keep his humility. He has a great sense of humor and an even better sense of reality.

It's easy to see why J Boog has been winning over fans all over the world.
He has shown the music world the right spirit and attitude to keep him rising and carry him to the next level
..........and *ding* the elevator doors just opened...

GYPTIAN - HOLD YUH AUSTRALIAN 2011 TOUR

gyptian_hold_yuh_tour

Born Windel Beneto Edwards, Gyptian grew up in King Weston a Rural District, in St. Andrew, Jamaica raised by a father who was a Rastafarian and his mother a Seventh Day Adventist Christian (who he explained was the disciplinarian of the family).

Gyptian is a bonafide crossover international reggae dancehall star today with an impressive list of lovers rock, roots reggae and dancehall hit singles.......

Gyptian’s song Hold Yuh, became a major Dancehall anthem of 2010. Although the track served as an introduction to the artist for many music fans around the world, it was in fact taken off his third album, of the same name.

Hold Yuh topped the Billboard Reggae Digital Singles chart for 9 consecutive weeks and also impacted on the Hot 100 in America including becoming a multi-chart hit worldwide and deemed a “2010 Summer Anthem. The 26-year-old artist gained his nickname because he often sported a shirt wrapped around his head in the style of an Egyptian pharaoh. He released his first album in 2006 and songs such as Serious Times and Beautiful Lady became well known tunes in his native Jamaica.

Previously awarded the Most Promising Entertainer title at the International Reggae and World Music Awards, Gyptian managed to top that achievement by winning the coveted Best Reggae Artist prize at the Soul Train Awards in November 2010

Gyptian best known hits include Hold Yuh, Nah Let Go, Serious Times, Mama, Beautiful Lady, I Can Feel Your Pain, Love Against The Wall and She's My Lady
