LISTEN UP, LOOSEN UP, Relax and get your groove on… REGGAETOWN World Music festival is gearing up for 2011.
Winners of TimeOUT (The Cairns Post) ‘Best Festival’ award in 2010, the funky event in idyllic tropical CAIRNS, featured a sizzling line up and the 2011 event will deliver an impressive follow up on September 10th.
Held in lush gardens at the base of Bundanna (Water Fairy) Mountain, nestled on the coast of Far North Queensland. Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park (the festival site) sits idyllically between the Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea and the lush rolling downs of the Atherton Tablelands.
REGGAETOWN offers a journey into deluxe music, delicious surroundings and delightful treats – your total pleasure package. It is the perfect get away for national and international travellers and music lovers. Three stages of Music will ignite, including; world, roots, reggae, hip hop, R&B, Funk, Soul, Jazz and Dub. Both traditional and contemporary forms will feature, from Islands and Nations Across the globe.
Cultural and musical workshops, exhibits and displays will promote a hands on experience for the festival goer. Bellies can be filled with scrumptious delicacies at the food stalls and there is something for everyone, from Nana to the cool kids, at the variety of market stalls.
