O-SHEN originaly from PNG and currently in Honolulu while still a new taent had one of his Tok Pisin raps included on an album by the Fijian-Hawaiian singer George Veikoso, aka FIJI. His debut album, Iron Youth, netted him a coveted Hawaiian Na Hoku Hanohano award for reggae album of the year, an honour for a non-Hawaiian artist.

Since then O-shen's fame has grown to huge proportions in his homeland and he attracts listeners from across the South Pacific. He's made five albums, mostly reggae-based but also incorporating dancehall, R&B, hip hop and traditional PNG string band and tribal music.

He's worked with Jamaican artists such as Third World, Bunny Rugs and Elephant Man. In his songs O-shen switches seamlessly from American rap to Tok Pisin to Jamaican patois. His MERI LEWA, although performed in Tok Pisin, has become a Pacific-wide anthem, sung by enthusiastic audiences from Guam to Tahiti.

O-SHEN has performed and recorded along side some of the biggest names in Island reggae!!
This September, O-SHEN visits Brisbane for the first time since 2009 on September 11th at The HIFI, he will perform hits like"Meri Lewa", "Island Jewel" and more from his latest album "Dear Billy" backed by his Pacific Island Reggae band ONE REBEL BAND.
